Curva House,

Combination and renovation of 3 small adjacent vernacular housing units, in a small village in Alentejo, into a private house, while keeping the spirit of the place alive, with its vernacular architectural language, but also with an emphasis on the seductive effect of the house with a sophisticated and international ethos.
We created a sequence of spaces and connections between them that could motivate surprise. The patios were created so that we could have outdoor areas and light entrances in the complexity of the vernacular plant, and these ended up becoming essential to the enjoyment of the house.
We made a point of maintaining the language of the original architecture with the construction techniques and finishes of the region, making it easy and relaxed.
